I see your point Green Card and I am with you as far as respecting our elders-that is how I was raised by my Mexican Ohana in Mexico. When my single mother came to the U.S. with her 3 children Illegaly, not having paper work did not make us bad people-we have respect, we work and we excell in school. In fact I was appaled at how little respect Americans had for their Elders and Teachers in School. There are good and bad examples in every group and having papers means nothing as far as what kind of person you are. Judge each individual by their actions but don't condemn the whole group. Aloha
