Thanks for your perspective, Henri. It might help readers to know that you head the Singapore office of a large global biofuel purveyor firm, Vertical Asia. Thus, your referring to the palm oil industry's devastating track record on rainforests, habitat, and indigenous cultures as "trade-offs" fails to address the real situation. Hawaii does not need another imported oil, no matter what price. And Anthony....perhaps you chose to shed light on jatropha and palm oil numbers. My info about jatropha is true, not false, and the idea that local biofuels will provide a substantial future percentage of our fuel needs is wholly unsubstantiated.
