Why review these bands?

Assault Squad Riders, Gorilla Jazz, An Den and Maoli maybe decent bands on a local level. From a world-wide point of view they are nothing special, in fact not impressive at all. They would get laughed off the stage if they weren't playing Maui. I've seen a lot a bands here, they are spoiled. They actually get paid and they are rewarded for playing covers. Not too many places on the mainland pay bands. And doing covers is considered lame over there.
I do understand needing to do 'covers' to get paid out here. But is that worthy of a review?
Is the goal to just get on OC16? If so, I guess these bands are good enough for that.
Don't expect White Rose or Erin Smith to be on OC16, they don't fit the model and make 'local' locals bands seem weak in comparison.
