Is it only the Covers?

Covers weaken the scene? It's all a matter of perspective and opinion.
A major problem with the scene is Overdrive Live on OC16 and the Pacific Radio Group. Wow, talk about insecure protectionists running the entertainment media,... those people take the cake. Have you seen and heard the garbage they play/promote. What about the other great bands/artists from Hawaii? Maui Time seems to get it, most of the bands they review are far better than the crap shoved down our throats by these protectionists.
