Hi - East Maui?? I have lived in Haiku for 20 yrs , Why are people calling Haiku East Maui??? Hana is East, Keanae is east, Kaupo is east. Haiku is North shore, We are on the North/ West slope of the biggest part of Maui , Haleakala. Evan calling us Upcountry is a stretch since mostly we are under 1000ft el. Only in the last yr have I heard of Haiku as East. If I were from the East side I would be offended.
