Yes, I know it's technically neither fish nor game—I have heard of hunting chickens, though it's not one of your more thrilling sports—but it's a good pizza that tastes great. My favorite kind of pizza is simple and fresh. No cheese-stuffed crust pizza for me, thanks. No squid, shrimp, tuna, broccoli, onion, mayonnaise and double cheese toppings either ("The Seafood Special" at a Pizza Hut in Japan). No, just give me an authentic wood-fired pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. Casanova has other fabulous Italian entrees but their perfect 12-inch cheese pie is the comfort food I sometimes need on chilly, late upcountry nights. 1188 Makawao Ave., Makawao, 572-0220.
