Just how green is Starbucks?

Lately, Starbucks has been boosting their big "Grounds for Your Garden" recycling project. What they do is save their used coffee grounds and then give them away to whoever wants them for use in compost or soil. It's mentioned in a variety of newspaper ads and articles and appears in leaflets (which are not printed on recycled paper, actually) available in their stores.
It's nice to hear this giant, powerful corporation is attempting to do something Earth-friendly. But what about other forms of recycling? Like many multinational corporations, Starbucks likes to advertise that they're "green"—just how green are they?
