Da Mayor Speaks
Thursday, 5:30 p.m. at the Baldwin High School Auditorium in Wailuku

January 12, 2006

[STATE OF THE COUNTY ADDRESS] Alan Arakawa's been Maui County Mayor since 2002. A lot's happened since then: Wailuku redevelopment, coqui frog infestations, talk of a new trash incinerator and, of course, the Great Junked Car Crisis. Anyway, this being 2006 and all, Arakawa will be running for reelection in a few months. So what he says now about the state of the county and his plans for the future are rather important. The speech is free, but since they're serving food after he gets through talking, his office wants people to reserve a seat by calling 270-7710. [ANTHONY PIGNATARO]
