This week calls for just a slight reordering, given the latest Political Action Committee and individual donor campaign contribution records published by The Center for Responsive Politics. It's still early but Monsanto gets to stay in the top slot, given its PAC has so far taken in $125,185 this campaign. For a PAC, money in the bank isn't much use, and Monsanto has already spent $103,769 of that wad—81 percent of which went to Republicans. A&B and Maui Land are already placed pretty good, given their PAC's respective $36,137 and $21,200 receipts. Poor Dowling Co., though, drops many notches. Not only does Dowling lack a PAC, but owner/developer Everett Dowling has so far only handed out $2,000, and it all went to U.S. Senator Daniel Akaka's reelection campaign. Hurry up Everett!
