Remove ImagesMaui County The Agenda Board of Variances and Appeals June 14, 2007 Thurs., June 14, 1:30 p.m. Still dealing with that pesky Wailuku chain-link fence… and some people consider dealing with government a waste of time. Planning Conference Room, Kalana Pakui Building, 250 S. High Street, Wailuku Commission for Persons with DisabilitiesThurs., June 14, 2 p.m. Reports on transportation, Molokai, volunteer parking and parks. Parks? How do you write a report on a park? On second thought, I don't want to know. Mayor's Lounge, Kalana O Maui Building, 200 S. High St., Wailuku Maui County CouncilFri., June 15, 9 a.m. Items include "Renewable Energy from wood waste" (isn't wood biodegradable?) some sort of "bill for an ordinance amending Chapter 14.70, Maui County Code, relating to impact fees for traffic and roadway improvements in Hana." And here's something for Rob Parsons (in case he's reading—he's on vacation this week): Deputy Corporation Counsel wants to acquire "Unit 2 of the Montana Beach condominium, for public purposes." And the Director of Public Works and Environmental Management (isn't that just something we as a society only pretend to do?) wants to clean and maintain the sidewalks—though not personally, I imagine. That could really get a person dirty. Council Chamber, Kalana O Maui Building, 200 S. High St., Wailuku Board of Code AppealsWed., June 20, 1:30 p.m. After introductions, they choose who will chair the board. Seems sudden—I'd meet for lunch first.
