[BENEFIT] I admit I had no idea what a "trunk sale" was before I wrote this. I was envisioning big black luxury sedans showcasing cheap designer knockoff bags and shades while sketchy types lurked around, waiting to make you a deal. Boy, was I wrong. This trunk sale will be held at Epitome, a classy, contemporary fashion boutique, and feature the collections of two new designers. A portion of the proceeds goes to a very, very good cause. Six-year-old Jacqueline Wenzler-Steves, daughter of Lahaina firefighter Vince Steves, is suffering from a type of bone cancer called Euing's Sarcoma. In addition to fundraising through the sale, donations will be collected on the family's behalf at the event. The evening is being sponsored by Mala Ocean Tavern in Lahaina, and the featured collections are Golden Child Jewelry, designed by a local artist, and Q by Douie—an imported collection of luxurious cotton separates from Israel.
