[EVENT] Pirates of the Cuisine, Taste the Treasure should be a blast. How can you go wrong with a pirate theme? Seriously, if I had the big bucks, I would gladly shell them out to eat good food, drink fine wine and enjoy a good chuckle with some fellow wealthy swashbucklers. This event, which is kind of like the red carpet leading to the Taste of Lahaina, is in it's 15th year–and no, it's not always about eye-patches, gold bullion, parrots or Captain Jack Sparrow. Last year's theme was the Rock n' Roll Wok of Fame. Wok of Fame… He-he. Anyway, 12 of Maui's leading chef's will represent the West- side's restaurants and the Maui Community College Culinary Program.
