What is with all the bike stealing going on? Seems like every day I talk to another friend who had his bike swiped, or reflectors taken off, or sometimes just stupid, mean-spirited stuff like slashed tires. Here's the worst one; it happened to my ex-girlfriend: She has a child's seat on the back of her bike (it's not mine—the kid I mean). She has it there because she takes her daughter to preschool, then rides another five miles to her job. Yeah, job—ever heard of that, you low-life thief? Maybe if you had one, you wouldn't have had to steal a kids' bike seat. Seriously, does it get any lower than that?
