Lucky we live Maui, where fashion doesn’t need to follow catwalk convention nor seasonal restraints. Honoring the skimpy skin savvy styles of the island was easy–Maui’s designers abound with creative ways for fashionistas to strut our stuff. But putting the clothes into an issue that looked as sharp as they did was the real challenge.
So it got down to last weekend and we still had no real clue what to do. So we did what most people do in situations like this: we loaded up all the clothes in a van and started driving. But when our driver–a prince of a guy–stopped to pick up two hitchhikers, it all clicked.
