Remove ImagesUpfront News 2 Lahaina Public Library To Reopen November 08, 2012 ![]() The Rotarians garnered $40,000 in grants, $155,000 worth of in-kind service donations for 16 contractors and organized more than 1,000 volunteer hours for the project. The packing of all existing holdings was done by a volunteer team that stowed away the 35,000 books into 750 boxes, which were stored at 5A Rent-A-Space at no charge. The public is invited to this free event, which will include awards, tours and a rare opportunity to eat ice cream and refreshments in the library itself. Library hours are as follows: Tuesday, noon-8pm; Wednesday and Thursday, 9am-5pm; and Friday and Saturday, 10:30am- 4:30pm. The library is closed on Sunday and Monday.
