But at Costco, the corporate shopping co-op haven, you can have both. I’m just a sucker for the sight of their wine section, the fancy bottles in the wood crates, the cases upon cases of bottles, gleaming under the fluorescent lighting like pirate gold. Not only that, but they also have a great variety of wine, with interesting ratings and descriptions for wine know-it-alls. You voted smart, economical, and right on the nose with this one. In addition to being a good place to buy groceries, take the family out to dinner, go on a date (free appetizers) and watch free movies, Costco has been formally recognized as an excellent place to buy wine. Too bad your votes don’t get you a membership here too, cuz that will cost you extra.
