LettersDecember 28, 2012 | 07:01 AMAnd now, we present the year in MauiTime hate letters. Well, excerpts of hate letters, to be exact. As we've done in the past, here are the choices examples of vitriol, criticism, negativity and just plain meanness that we've run in our Feedback section, all strung together into one long paragraph of uninterrupted, unmitigated, undeniable anger. We do this for a simple reason: it is fun. No one wants to read accolades, right? But hate letters, especially when personal and insulting, are much more fun. Enjoy! |
Eh BrahDecember 28, 2012 | 07:06 AMTo the two young men riding skateboards in the middle of the road for over a quarter mile by the ABC Store, totally oblivious to the line of cars backed up behind you because you were being so inconsiderate: Thanks for the curses, racist remarks, middle finger that you shoved in our faces several times and for spitting at our car when we politely asked you to get out of the street. You want to fight a 66 year-old-man? Your parents should be ashamed of who they raised. I will pray for you, but mostly that a wheel comes off your skateboard and you fall on your ugly face. Maybe next time you act like that, you'll encounter some huge guy who will beat you to the ground. Have some aloha, jerk! |
Sign LanguageDecember 28, 2012 | 07:29 AMby Caeriel CrestinCapricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
The Superfriends seemed to always be on call, just hanging around in their Legion of Honor or Hall of Justice, or whatever it was, just waiting for a crisis. It's difficult to imagine a sense of duty or responsibility so powerful it becomes that consuming. I mean, that place didn't even have a pool table or anything! I guess that's how it is when you're doing something you love. There's not much point in doing anything else, at that point. Don't waste time with that other bullshit, if you've found one of your special callings. If you haven't—put down the pool cue. You've got work to do.
