Friday through Sunday at the Maui Dharma Center in Paia

[BUDDHIST TALKS] It’s not every day that a couple Buddhist scholars drop by Maui for a friendly chat. Which is why you don’t want to miss Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche and The Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, two of the hottest and most respected Buddhist teachers currently on the lecture circuit. The former is a Mahamudra yogi guru master while the later is a Nyingma & Kagma Schools of Tibetan Buddhism scholar. They’re hosting a ton of sessions, too: the whole thing kicks off Friday night, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, sessions run from 10 a.m. to noon and then again from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. If you just go for the evening session, they’re suggesting a $20-40 donation; $35-75 for the full-day jobs, depending on how long you’re there and how much you get out of it.
