[HEALTH/FOOD CLASS] I’m a vegetarian… for the most part. Sometimes the seafood here is irresistible and I slip. One of the questions I hear often when my veggie-ness is discovered is, “You don’t eat meat? What do you eat, then?” That question always makes me laugh because I used to ask it and the answer has always been, “Everything. Well, except meat.” It really is that simple. When you look at a plate of food, there’s usually a lot more going on than just a slab of beef. You find grilled vegetables, garlic potatoes, pasta, cheeses, sauces—the sky’s the limit! I can never get enough of vegetarian recipes, though. There are so many tasty, meatless dishes out there I have yet to discover. This class is my (and those like me) big opportunity to discover the art of raw cooking—meaning not cooked over 115 degrees. Broccoli and pesto-stuffed mushrooms, here I come!
