Grand Hallows Ball

[BOOKS] My inner geek is really excited about this: The Grand Hallows Ball. For those not hip to the lingo, it’s the release of the final Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I’ve already got my outfit picked out (I’m going as Nymphadora Tonks) and my pick-up lines planned (Is that a wand in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?). Of course, I’ve got my book reserved. Now, all I have to do is find a Remus Lupin and some allies, in case something goes down, like a Great Snape Debate (Ahem, not evil). I’m not so much a fan of the Harry Potter series, as I am a fan of dressing up, staying up late and hanging out with hordes of equally weird people. Who says Maui doesn’t have nightlife? The end begins at 9:30 p.m. on July 20 at the Maui Marketplace, Ka`ahumanu Mall and Whaler’s Village Borders’ locations. [YNEZ TONGSON]
