[ART/WINE] I know the “before and after” well. There are the pictures of celebrity plastic surgeries, the ads for weight loss pills and acne cream… And then there’s me (picture #1) dressed up and dancing on Saturday night followed by (picture #2) suffering a raging hangover on Sunday morning. But this weekend the ubiquitous “Before and After” will take a more dignified turn towards fine art. It’s the theme of Cafe Marc Aurel’s new group art show, where 20 Maui artists will be delving into the topic deeper than flat stomachs, smaller noses and hangovers. All the art on display will be for sale (reasonably priced) and available to take home immediately for those who desire instant gratification. DJ Boomshot will be spinning a unique “Before and After” live musical-mix to take your art experience to the next level, while the cafe will be upholding its sophisticated reputation with its extensive selection fine wines and spirits.
