The Music of Fireworks
Friday (July 4) Concert begins at 6 p.m. fireworks begin at 8 .m. library lawn on Front St. at Lahaina Harbor, Lahaina.
[EVENT] The
Fourth of July
is a holiday where you can really lay waste to your eardrums, but then again the celebration of Independence is probably worth it. This year, the
Lahaina Town Concert
in the park will help you get in the groove (and warm-up your auditory system,) even before the keiki start arming themselves with explosives. At 8:00, you can share the joy and amazement of watching fireworks with your family. For all you neurotics out there, the fear of renegade shrapnel hitting you should begin at about 8:05.
Free. For more information call 667-2805.

within the confines of this blurb. However, Interim Editor Starr Begley wants me to be sure to mention the
43rd Annual Paniolo Parade
, beginning at 9 a.m. in Makawao on Baldwin Avenue. This year’s theme is “
The Great Waiomina
—
Honoring all of our Paniolo
.” For all you greenhorns, “paniolo” means “cowboy.” The Makawao Rodeo offers exciting events such as the free admission qualifying runs on Thursday and Friday, the
Bull Bash
