Freedom and Responsibility
October 08, 2009 | 03:24 PM This is just another example of government restricting the freedoms of it's people, under the guise of protection. While I actively discourage this activity in my company, and don't do it myself, I believe that it is the responsibility of the individual to decide the safest course of action. If the person acts in an unsafe manner, and something happens, then they need to pay the consequence. The less the individual wants to take responsibility for his actions, the more that individual will turn over his freedoms to the government. We all have the choice to be akamai, but the majority choose not to be, and hence people act stupidly. T. D., Makawao |
