This is a much bigger story than the TVA issue. Today the forecast came out of a projected $45 million dollar receipts shortfall for the County Budget. Me thinks we should begin seriously examining Maui's economic model, end our addiction to imported oil ( $250 million in imported diesel oil for electricity for one thing) and start the green economy investing in ourselves instead of Hotels and tourists.
