Thanks for pointing that out. I felt terrible for writing that women were slaves in the kitchen only during the holidays. It sickened me to use that overused stereotype. What I wanted to write was that in developed countries two-thirds to three-quarters of domestic work is performed by women. Women do between 75 to 95% of all meal prep and cleanup. This work is, of course, unpaid and usually after having worked all day. But then, I would have been over my word count. But, I don't see what's so disgusting about implying that a woman should go ahead and spend some of her hard-earned money on herself.
