Mr. Shafer, You clearly have no concept of the Caribbean Islands economically and what the cruise line Industry does for most of the Caribbean nations. Tourism is the main source of revenue for most of them. NOT docking there means MILLIONS of dollars NOT stimulating their economies. Pulling out of Haiti would do nothing but hurt them even more. Royal Caribbean is a well-run ethical company and I'm sure they made the decision with much thought and discussion. They could have easily re-routed and brought income to some other Island. They were willing to take flack from uninformed critics, such as yourself, to do the right thing. You also didn't mention all of the aid and supplies they are also freely transporting to Haiti on their ships. Hmmm. Why don't you do some real research on the positive impact that Royal Caribbean has and has had for 30 years on Haiti, then write your nifty article.
