I agree. But if we keep going down this road, the term will need to be changed to Yuanning since China will own everything.

By the way, Nuclear power has nothing to do with Big Oil other than burning less of it. It is a travesty Nuclear power is banned in Hawaii. There are many new and very much smaller reactors now that are self-regulating. Pebble Bed reactors are one of the most promising, as are Hyperion reactors. A few Hyperions can be installed where full sized reactors cannot... such as in Hospitals and other critical buildings. A few of these reactors placed around the power grid would ensure stability and lessen the impact of security threats (reactors are buried and nearly impossible to breach for its fissile fuel) broken power lines and other power failures. Criticism of Nuclear power is still stuck in 1970. Get with it, we're in 2010. Tech has changed, I'm very sorry you haven't.

The State of the Union address is not a forum for public shaming. So far, all the Obama Administration is play schoolyard games blaming their problems on Bush. sure, he can be your whipping boy for a while, but for the love of all that is good, this Administration needs to start taking ownership for many things that have been exclusively under his own control for over a year now.

Not only that, but Obama has broken almost every campaign promise he's made. And when it comes to Healthcare... or anything else, since when has the US decded to disparage 85% of the population for %15 who can't get their act together and set their priorities straight.

Just today in the Maui News is one of our esteemed legislators, Bertram, who decided he didn't need health insurance because he was healthy! Well! If you could only buy insurance AFTER your car accident, would life be much better?

The time is long past due when people need to take responsibility for their situations. So long as people play the Blame Game and fail to take ownership and responsibility, they will be doomed to continue upon their destructive paths.

Mr. President, leave me and my health insurance alone. If you want to start cutting carbon emissions, start with Pelosi. Her footprint alone could sustain a small African nation... and fly them all around the world with the jets she sequesters.

The Dems have made a fool of Americans. It's only by sheer luck did the opportunity to break the supermajority come. And even at that, it took death for the Senate seat Ted Kennedy held for so long to be released, even when he knew it was coming. It was the hight of arrogance when the seat was referred to as "Kennedy's Seat". There are a couple other Senate seats I'd like to see turned back over to the people, namely those of our state.

Term limits are a good idea. There has never been a politician so benevolent that warrants a lifetime of "service" in the same seat. There are many others out there that at least deserve a shot, but can't do it with the entrenched Ol' Boy Favor Factory in place. 2 consecutive terms max for Senators, and 3 for Reps. If they really did that great a job, they can come back after a term off and campaign again.

Oh, and we need to repeal the 17th Amendment, the direct election of Senators by the people. Currently, we have 535 Representatives. Senators used to be elected by the legislators of each state, thereby making Senators the State's representation int he Federal government, while the House remained direct representatives of the people elected by the people. This one amendment has made the US far more Populist than the Democratic Republic it was set up as. The US is NOT a pure Democracy and was never intended to be. However, we DEMOCRATICALLY elect people to REPRESENT us. If we were in a true Democracy, we as individuals would be voting on each and every thing ourselves.

Keep in mind that we are all equal in the eyes of the law and our government and should be treated equally. That doesn't mean the government is required to make us all equal... we aren't.
