Awesome for our Keiki

Thanks for running this cover story. Before reading, I had never heard of Jungle to Jungle, and now I'm hungry to learn more.
As a local mom, I often worry that my kids will spend their entire lives sheltered here on Maui. Not that it's a bad thing... I love Maui, but maybe too much. Personally, I think that in some ways I've limited myself out of fear of leaving my secure island home.
On the other hand, programs like Jungle to Jungle are fantastic for our keiki. Not only do they provide an interactive experiance in a land far, far away that many local children will never have the chance to visit first hand; it just may excite some enough to want to go and explore for themselves when they are older.
I'm glad I'm raising my kids in what's sorta the community equivalent of a tide pool (safe, controlled, protected) vs. the raging sea (umm... anywhere else); but I'm also relieved to hear that forward thinking educaters are popping up to teach our children, and involve them, in the discovery of the amazing planet that we live on.
Way to go Jungle to Jungle, and kudos to the schools jumping on board.
