Un-cooperative
May 29, 2010 | 10:48 AM Elsewhere in the bill it mentions $21M to a Hawaiian sugar cooperative. Don't be distracted by the wording of the bill. This has dan Inouye's fingerprints all over it. The transportation entity? Matson. Or Kahului Trucking & Storage, another division of A&B. This is corporate welfare, plain and simple. Your second question is a good one....just think how this might have really helped Hawaii, not just kept comatose sugar on life-support. Bert W. -- Waiehu |
