It is nice to read too. I remember a lady driving in front of me for miles had her purse on top of her car...I honked and honked and she kept driving. Well it fell of her car, I pulled over retrieved her pocketbook. I didn't dare open it up. I went right to the police station who wanted nothing to do with it, but gave me the 3rd degree. They wanted to know why I didn't open her wallet and just drop it at her house. I said no way. I started to leave and they gave me a hard time about me not giving them my name...finally a cop said to me, maybe the lady would like to thank you. I did not give my phone number but I gave them my address...and a couple of weeks later I got a very nice thank-you note, and the funny thing is she did hear me honking my horn, but she thought I was an impatient driver who wanted her to go faster so she did not stop and she even noticed my hand gestures pointing to the top of her car. She said in her letter in her gut she knew I was trying to tell her something but she didn't listen. It feels good to be honest and help somebody out, more people should try it sometime!!!! Karma |
