Mike White's so-called experience is quitting halfway through his term to go back to his job as GM of a Hotel. He's the Sarah Palin of Maui Politics: a quitter. His only platform is to give money to the Tourist Bureau -you know the people who don't allow audits on how their money is spent. In this time of Tea Protesters screaming about how money is spent by the government, they actually would endorse someone who would spend more taxpayer money on the Tourist Bureau? Are we also led to believe that Mike White is going to quit his lucrative job as GM to serve on the council? Or does he think it's going to be a part time job -the legislature, which he quit, is a part time job, the Council is a full time job. Lastly, I can't see how Mike White, if he even does live in the district, represents Paia, Haiku or Makawao. The district is small businesses, not large hotels.
