Imagine my surprise

when I saw the cover story "Is Atheism Good for You?". It is for me. I no longer have to try to pretend that Christianity (or any other religion) is true. I have studied and prayed and studied some more, for too many years, trying to make "God" real.

I failed, the evidence is just not there. I'm glad that I finally escaped from belief in the mythical god and grew up.

Yes, it can be lonely as an atheist. Look around, there are groups of non-believers, we're a minority, but we can be found. The internet is full of atheist resources. There are even meet-up groups for atheists.
