How chickenshit can enforcement get? Without any bias in favor of permitting children
under the age of 21 to purchase or consume alcohol, it seems to me that the LC agents
have done everything possible to cause the alleged miscreants to violate the law. Of course, the agents didn't cause the alleged violations, but they sure set them up. Their conduct does provide money for Maui County in fines, but I don't think it solves any criminal justice problems. Each case cited in the article provides facts that would indicate the LC agents don't have enough legitimate work to fill their workdays.
