Mr. Conklin hasn't apparently understood how Hawai'i became a state (illegally), how and why the Hawaiian people have been treated unfairly, or that his "third option" is in practice, the status quo - which is failing native Hawaiians. I won't pretend to know what the answer is, considering the reality of the situation, but his apparent ignorance of the subject, and lack of respect I find rather insulting - and I'm a transplanted haole. I suggest Mr. Conklin do a little more research before publishing books.
