Kaho'olawe mentality

The smoke coming from a burn up near the airport this morning woke me up down here Kihei. I worry about the effects of this stuff on the thousands of kids down here, I wonder if it's worth 400 jobs, jobs that could be diverted to other industries anyway. Makes no sense to me.
