bioplastics
They at first seem so great, thats until you dig in a little. For instance. bioplastic does not break down any faster in an landfill than other plastics and no matter what compost drop off you have that is where 95% of it is going to go, its know to increase green house gas emissions of the landfill and not in a good way at all, its gmo to the max, contaminates recycling streams, contributs to the global food crisis, is owned by huge corporations like cargill, there really is nothing sustainable or local about this stuff, most of it is made in china where who really knows what is being made with what.
Maui times, please do more diligence and styrophobia Im sure you have good intentions but this stuff is crap.
