Rigged for who?

What I saw was Erin Smith with no sound tech support against a cover band that was heavily favored in the venue. Couldn't even hear her voice the first two songs and when she called for a guitar change there was no one there. Who was the sound guy working for? Maybe he was as wasted as everyone else. Tough to be the last act when the crowd is more focused on hooking up then what's happening on stage.
