Merkin ...
October 31, 2008 | 09:22 PM ... is in fact the technical term for a mat or wig of fake pubic hair. According to Wikipedia, the term dates to 1449. Might I suggest a major campaign to bring the word back into common usage in time for its 560 birthday next year? Interestingly, the "Special Conditions" state that: 'No licensee shall permit any person from displaying any portion of any artificial pubic hair ...' ... irrespective, seemingly, of where it is placed. I know some men who wear hairpieces which look as if they are made using "hair from down there". Given that ignorance of the law is no excuse, surely those in unwitting violation of this rule should be given fair warning so that they can at least buy a hat to cover their flagrant merkins?
