Gabbard was Empowered by Democrats

Mike Gabbard would have been isolated on the sidelines had he not been invited to join the Democratic Party by Colleen Hanabusa. It was also Hanabusa who appointed him to the Senate Judiciary Committee where he could wield influence over issues of civil rights. It is now Hanabusa who is urging Senators to kill the bill.

It is too easy to blame Gabbard. We must save some blame for those who empowered him.
