Left out a huge industry on Maui

Doug left out one of, if not the largest 'industries' on Maui- Government. It is not an industry but is nevertheless is a huge employer and deployer of funds. Sadly and troubling is our statewide politicians who most all think care about the people of Hawaii, continue to squeeze the businesses of Hawaii to fund everything and make it so hard to business here, many fail or leave. The petty power grab for the one party who has been in control for decades is bullying small business so hard if tourism gets slower due to another dip, there will be a huge washout of businesses. In case anyone forgets, businesses hire people, pay taxes to keep this whole thing going. The golden goose has his head in the path of the clever.
